Richie at the Moon Wolf trailer
The Origin

About.

A family-owned, independent coffee shop born from a converted goat trailer and rooted in West Texas craft. Coffee, goods, and community in Richardson, TX.

The Beginning

The Story

Moon Wolf started as a feeling — the quiet confidence of West Texas brought to the suburbs of Dallas. Founded by Richie Conry, Moon Wolf is a family-built project rooted in craftsmanship, community, and the belief that coffee can be more than a transaction.

The name comes from the high desert — where wolves move with purpose under wide-open skies and the moon lights the way forward. That energy shapes everything Moon Wolf does: the coffee, the goods, the events, and the space itself.

Mobile Roots

The Trailer

Before the brick-and-mortar, there was the trailer. A converted mobile unit that brought specialty coffee to pop-ups, markets, and events across the DFW area.

The trailer is still part of the story — it's how Moon Wolf got its start and how it continues to bring coffee to the community through catering and mobile events.

Flagship Space

The Den

The flagship location at 920 Custer Road in Richardson, TX is what Moon Wolf calls "The Den." It's a space built for quiet mornings, genuine conversation, and goods made by people who care. Not a vibe — a place.

The build is happening right now — exposed beams, raw concrete, conduit in the ceiling. The desert moved into suburbia and it's not done yet. Weather slowed us down. The electrician slowed us down more. But the den gets built on its own timeline. Good things don't rush.

Inside The Den, the Provisions market carries artisanal mugs, t-shirts, bags, oils, and incenses — curated goods made by real people. And quarterly, the parking lot transforms for the Hair of the Wolf Symposium: musicians, photographers, barbers, a vintage flea market, and a magician. Not a pop-up — a proper gathering.

Our Partners

Eiland Coffee Roasters

Our coffee is locally roasted by Eiland Coffee Roasters and Liaise Coffees. Two roasters, one bar — fresh roasted and always intentional.

Starship Bagel

Our food partner is Starship Bagel — fresh bagels, spreads, and the brisket bagel with cheddar, jalapeños, and BBQ sauce that's already a Den staple. Moon Wolf also bakes its own coffee cake, banana bread, and Tuesday tiramisu in-house.

Local Makers

Every mug, bag, print, and card in the shop comes from real people. Artists and craftspeople who make things by hand.

Our Approach

Our Philosophy

We don't compete — we collaborate. Moon Wolf isn't here to be the loudest coffee shop in Richardson. We're here to build something lasting, one cup and one connection at a time.

Quiet confidence beats cleverness.
